Linux Specific Issues / "invalid pointer: 0x085a92fc" error with updater and client

hi people =)

i updated my old planeshift client using the patch to update for the 0.3.013 client

after i installed the patch i played the game normally, only to test
then, after this i tryed to run updater, but it gave this error:

$ ./updater -auto
Critical files () not found (Server only)
NOTIFY: psUpdaterEngine initialized.
Checking registry version...
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x085a92fc ***
Aborted

after this i tryed to run the game again, and it start normally, but when i enter in the charcter select screen it simply crash, whith the same error (other numbers only):

$ ./psclient

[...]

crystalspace.maploader.parse.texture:
  Couldn\'t load image \'/planeshift/tools/panflute01.jpg\', using checkerboard
  instead!
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x08cf8154 ***
Aborted

i downloading the other updater that is on the stick topic at this forum (the same of the patch)

what i have to do?

my system is this:

Operating System: Linux Slackware 10.2
Processor: AMD Duron 1.6 ghz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce MX 4000
System Memory: 256 MB
Video Memory: 128 MB

the only problem now is that the updater gives an error when i try to update

but this i already seen in the linux forum =)

and the game is better than i ever seen =P

hi people =)

i have here the 0.3.011 planeshift version, and when i try to connect i have a connect error that says the server is not reachable, andin the server list at the side of fragnetics have a \"fail 100\" message

i already tryed to run the updater, but it coulndn\'t connect to the updater mirrors

i tryed to open the 7777 port on my firewall, but nothing appears to be changed and with the firewall descativated too =(

i have 56k dial connection, and no have routers, etc

my system is this:

i played the game normally before the last server problem, but after this it refuse the connection, but in the server page it says that have people online (about 50, 60), and i think this is because the server is up
