My god people... you resurrected a year old thread! Posting to a month old thread is ok, any more is annoying, one year is ridiculous. There\'ve been so many more threads since this one... Either post to a recent one, or make a new one. (they\'re free  ) Also, posting actual new information might\'ve been nice. So, if you combine these 2 concepts together... you shouldn\'ve posted at all.

Please don\'t grave dig on this forum.

Id like to have it like this:
(I find this the most realistic way)

First, Your mining is level 0 and you should pay to the teacher to get level 1. Only money, you wouldnt need anything else.
(The teacher teaches all the basic things to you)

Second, When you know all the basics, you should mine to gain mining experience. (Its logical that you mine to learn mining)

Then there would be levels (for example level 5 and 10 and 15...) where you should pay more (money and progression points) to the teacher to learn advanced mining theory before you can continue gaining levels by mining.

Rubies of eventide uses a system like this and i really liked it.

I didnt read all the previous posts so i dont know if someone has suggested this before but there could be a make donation button in the website. Then there would be at least a one way to thank the game makers for this FREE game.

I don\'t remember seeing a toilet from back then.. let alone a sewer canal hehe. But then again, Morrowind has strange features too i believe. Oh i love these fantasy MMOrpg\'s!!

Keep up the game!

Actually if you want to know, sewers were already common in pre-medieval times. Sewers that date back to 3200 BC have been discovered and they were quite common in ancient Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Chinese civilisations. Of course in the dark ages they became a bit neglected, like almost everything else.
But like someone said .. the world of Planeshift doesn\'t follow earthly timelines.

As for the xp thing .. did you actually get the experience or did a message just pop up saying you got xp? I\'m asking this because the chat acts odd regularly. It\'s not completely uncommon to recieve a chat message that wasn\'t meant for you at all so it could be that someone else earned that experience but you just happened to \'intercept\' the chat message.

Im not sure if i got xp. Just recieved a chat message.

Year 1600? I think the game world\'s chronology has no connection to our chronology.

I cant turn to right while running.  Char just keeps running forward even i press d key. I like to use w,a,s,d keys to move and thats why this is very annoyin problem. then i changed \"the turning right key\" from d to e and it worked perfectly. so this problem is only when \"the turning right\" is set to key d.

i dont believe i killed it, because it had quite a lot hp left and i gained those xp points when i was next to blacksmiths workshop so quite far from sewers...

....or maybe i remember wrong....i dunno....this isnt an important problem anyway.

I fought against rat in the sewers, but when i was almost killed the rat, i had only few hp\'s left and i ran away.
When i climbed up from the sewers i gained 30 xp points.
I thought it was because someone killed the rat i was fought before, but im not sure.

I agree. Fighting shouldnt be the only way to gain experience and progression points.

Wish list / Realistic game?

\"Tobacco is a bad example for kids!\"
This is a game!. We already have alcohol in game. And what kids think if you wont get drunk from beer and you gain some extra hitpoints.
Someone wrote topic about psychedelic mushrooms, he/she thought it would be fun if there were some in the game. And everyone was like: \"Yea! that would be cool, lets add some visual hallusinations and heavy trips to shrooms and its perfect\"
And now people dont want tobacco to the game because kids will start to smoke. This should be realistic game, not sensored teaching game to +3 years old.

I understand is someone wouldnt want to see pot in the game (I\'d like to have it too), but i really cant understand why there shouldnt be tobacco. It would raise the atmosphere much...
