Maybe it would have been a bit simplier if there was something like a command to introduce to everybody in a circle of XX meters around you. Like going into a pub in real life, jumping on a table and crying "Hey, my name is XXXX...." in the global silence. Some of my friends said me it's really funny to do   ::)

Hello

This afternoon, I discovered that crafting books (of blade, etc...) contains a short description of what we can do with them. However, even if I'm sure it's not the most urgent thing to fixe, in some books (stocks, axes and blades if I remember well), points (".') and  new lines (maybe something like "\n") are missing between sentencies, so it's almost unreadable (at least for a non english native reader).

I hope that with luck it's a server side description so we don't have to wait until next update .

From what i remember of my own way, anyone can melt iron and shape it into ingots whith a level 0 green bar in metalurgy. Iron is the basic work in this speciality.
What you need is trying to shape molten iron into Iron Stocks.... for this, ask people at the furnace about "Iron Stocks" (not only "stocks" or they will believe you're looking for steel stocks...)... i think it could solve your problem and make you a more experienced smith apprentice.
If i'm near the furnace, i'll be glad to help you ingame .... but i didn' play much last weeks and don't think school will softened with the summer  :sweatdrop:.

edit: sorry, i must stop to post at stupid hours instead of sleeping ... i made a confusion with sword making..
To made Iron stocks, you'll need in fact the book from the Learning stocks quest

Hello

I'm not sure it's a bug because i didn't connect during 2 weeks so maybe something was change without i noticed it.
I have now about 3 times the life i had before, with just training 4 times my strength : 235 HP for 59 endurance and 74 strengh....

It's not that i complain about it, if it's normal it's ok, but it's maybe a bit unfair (have anyone heard of a full mage surviving a frontal range clash with an Ulbernaut?... an adult, not a baby of course  ::) )

Each time give book, I had 2 times the Reward in XP  :beta: .
I was unable to find it on the bug tracker but i'm not sure so i post it here.

PS: sorry for my "english", i'm french so sometimes i use idiomatics speakings (maybe why i never find it on bugtracker)


edit : Ok, i deleted this explanation  :-X and i'll submit it to a GM next time i'll have a real connexion....
        To exploit it, people must be patient : I had to wait 2 or 3 month to retry this quest  ::)
Sorry for the delay , my provider i doing XPs with his servers so i can't go on the NET (nor play Planeshift  :( ) since a week

Hello

Since almost a week, the game sometimes freeze (i'm under Win XP), when i'm mining or making some metalurgy, which means I can only move, but not open something or use any command or talk. So i quit the game without any error and tried to log again, but even if the server is on with a good ping (~400ms for me), it say me it is unreachable or offline. After 1~2min, i'm able to relog. At this point, it's not a problem for me, because i know it can happens.

But when i enter again, my ores/stocks in the furnace or stock castings are sometimes exhanged with those of others people using it at the time of the bug or some new appears (for example i placed 5 iron ores to melt and i obtain 9 not molten iron ores AND 6 molten  :woot: ; another time i found 3 steel stocks, unusable for me, instead of 2 iron stocks... and someone was searching his steel stocks ???). First time i tought of alchemy but it's a bit annoying for people around me  :-[....and having steel doesnt help me because i'm not yet enough skilled  :whistling:....

Did you try to make also Iron Stocks (with more ores than Lingots, ask around for the number required)?

Those in the sewers where very living yesterday late in the night : i went there to make some try (Can i kill a gobble, a thug, ....) and sudendly i remenber ihad forgotten to change my pick for an axe  :sweatdrop:.... and died by the thug...

I remarked that when i use the button research with the Levrus glyphs, there is no text but a message in system saying that "You know already this spell".
But with armor (i had the glyph since some time but forgot to make the spell  :sweatdrop:) it worked properly.
so maybe only new spells are described....
