The torrent appears to be faulty - D/L it using 3 different clients, with nVidea firewall disabled/activated, no anti-virus software active, etc, and all copies give NCRC error - and it can't be run using the /ncrc command line either.. X-/
Guess we wait for an uncorrupted version  :o

General Discussion / Re: The furnace is full!

Well, the furnace at Hydlaa is a bit better at this point, but the Crafting Table is completly shot....Wouldn't it be possible to set up some sort of inventory or data-base checkers where - at the daily reboot - it compares current inventory with the inventory logged at he previous reboot, and spits out or deletes what it common between both inventories??? As it is, it's hardly worth the trouble to try Crafting - either the entire database needs wiping (meaning everything everyone's worked so hard at getting is erased in one blow) or we live with the frustration of not being able to craft... X-/

Last question - what about putting filters preventing people from intentionally clogging slots with inappropriate items - re: Pants, bags, clacker legs, etc....?

it isn't a bug. it is a feature. the system was designed so that you don't get experience for grinding simple tasks. beyond a certain level or so.

I can understand and appreciate this, but there is always a means of increasing experience available for a given craft - for metallurgy not getting experience for melting did not mean you didnt get any for casting....At this point I get no experience for ANY crafting task (related or unrelated to Sword making) - hammering, sharpening, assembly, whether with alpha OR beta blades....Seems to me that - as with metallurgy - there should be SOME means of increasing experience, even if it's jus the fianl assembly part (similar to the casting aspect of metallurgy) ::|

Got two questions to toss out there ;D
1 -  a little question to all the crafters - when it comes to Blacksmithing, Sword Making, Knife Making, and Shield Making, has anyone hit a level bug whereby you no longer get any experience for those crafting items (something similar I suppose to the metallurgy levelling issue) and so do not level up anymore?
2 - for the devs and such - is this a bug, and if so, has it been reported as yet?

Server Status / Re: New fast mirror for Planeshift!

Why are you downloading an out of date client?  A new one is due to be released at any moment and a quick look at the forum would have told you this

I know it's an out of date client, but fast for one is not fast for all; recognition and kudos are due to those willing to assist us  :D, and besides - like you - we are all eager to explore all the new areas ASAP, so testing the link is sorta natural dont you think?

Quite honestly I dont know what all the fuss & bother is about - the server will be back when it's back, and the more we complain, whine, and cry is all that less time the Devs and GM's have to dedicate to testing the new features :P

And while I admit to a certain amount of anticipation :o , I've ALSO learned that the wait is generally well worth it  \\o//. So let's give these people the time to finish testing & debugging the new addies. Besides - the more time they spend responding to useless &/or  :offtopic: posts (basically wiping the noses of those not willing to read & abide by what was said or decided), the more time it will take for the next version to come out.
