ill prolly spend a lotta time on ps. i love pc/console games i spend hella time perfecting my technique.
val i have only two friends. i know how you feel. personally i enjoy being by myself. youll find shyt to do and ppl to kick it with when you get older, trust me! for some reason ppl like to talk to the anti-socials. :D

lol, when i said \"fantasy(but not with the technology)\" i ment no jet powered boats, hoover crafts, or motorcycles.
as far as magic goes, you can do almost anything. levetation stones, secure them to  a heavy cart, allowing you, or a theif, to move it around with easy(instead of having to push it around).
thats what i ment. sorry if i wasnt clear  :(

the games setting is fantasy(without the advanced technology)/medieval, so think within that realm. i think telepathy is a good idea, but you would have to earn that skill( or at least one persons that is participating in the exchange, like a mage).lol, that would give a lot of worth to a mage in a guild that communicates with many branches.
we can use the horse like creature(OMG i forgot the name again,im gonna write it down) cuz theyre fast , allowing us to run away if we have to.wagons for carrying things that we cant carry on our own, or ppl that just want to get somewhere and not have to worry about attacks(armed escorts).... boats for transporting us across large bodies of water.
depends on how large the world is, you could have outposts for protection when ppl sleep.
i think that when the game begins, ppl will come up with needs for transportation and communication.
what other neccessary trans. and comm. ideas can you guys come up with? ?(

i was a little interested in how guilds and clans plan on structuring there groups(how you play on setting up rank and factions).EX. a warrior clan would be setup for war. they would have diff groups , from pikemen to archers, with leaders from warchiefs that plan the overall war plans to the feild generals that give orders in battle.
 what are the goals of you group as they pretain to planeshift(how you plan on affecting the politics and overall feel of planeshift).EX. a mage guilds goal could be the betterment of mankind thru magic. how could they use magic to make life more enjoyable.
i know that in some rpgs clans and guilds are not very enfluencal when it comes to anything thats not protection. what is it that will sets the the groups of PS apart from other games.
lastly what type of group are you?
brotherhood=could be extension of the kings knighthood
clan=prolly lives outside of city walls and sets up its own small community
guild=less \"agressive\" group with a more political message
mercenaries=hired swords
bounty hunters=name says it all
or anything that gives a good description of what your about
put your site too, you might attract some new members

what if there was a name system that allow the user to make a first, mid. and last name, and encurage them to use more\"realistic name. as well as title if there in a clan. the \"title\" is assigned by there superiors. the only reason that i dont think its a good idea to force names certain types of names on ppl is because the more things that we want to froce on ppl(ive read some of the posts on the board) the less it will be an rpg. if you dont like something(pking for example) get creative and find a way to deal with the problem.i think someone already mentioned a type of \"nick name\" idea which is prolly the best idea ive heard in a long time.that way ppl wont skrew with their names so much.personally
if there was no nick name func. i would prolly use a word that would describe me a lil. if ther do put a nick name func. then i would use a more traditional name. i think a lot of other ppl would too.

what about using wagons for transporting goods .like ore and ingot from your mines to the city.it would help you by taking the burden of carrying items that would make you less effective in battle if you were attack by monsters or bandits :]
