Several months ago, I tried playing PlaneShift, but it made my computer freeze up, so I uninstalled it and forgot about it. I recently remembered it and decided to give it another try. I downloaded the new version of PlaneShift (0.3.018) and installed it. I never ran the updater.(I didn't run the updater because I saw a post that said you shouldn't run the updater for the new version yet) It loads up fine and runs fine for at least 15 minutes and then my computer freezes up and the only thing I can do is hit the reset button on my computer. I had quit most of the programs that run in the background on my computer. I monitored the CPU usage while I was playing and it was at 100% some of the time, but not all of the time and it wasn't at 100% when my computer froze. This problem has baffled me and I have no clue what's causing it.

Windows XP
512 MB RAM
Radeon 9600 series video card
1.3 GHz processor
Charter High-Speed internet

I shut down most of the stuff in the background, and I have updated the driver, but not in a while. I guess I'll do that quick and see if that helps.

I updated the driver, but the game still froze when I tried it.

I just reinstalled the game and downloaded the patch. Now when I run the updater, it says that the updater version is newer than the server's and then it stops. I ran the game anyway, but it still froze...
Please avoid posting two or more successive posts before others have replied. Just edit your last post to add new information. Thanks! --Karyuu

Sorry, I'll make sure to include more information next time. I have Windows XP, a 1.29 Ghz CPU, 512 MB RAM, plenty of free disk space, and cable internet. My graphics card is a Radeon 9600 series. I think that should be good enough because I can play other games with it, but I'm not sure.

Every time I run the game it freezes less than a minute after loading. The whole system freezes and I can't do anything except hit the restart button on my computer. Right now I'm in the death realm, but it was freezing before I was there, so it's not just a problem with the death realm. Please help me.
