Ok, thanks for your help. It's downloading as we speak, I mean type.

My only concern now is adjusting to the new community. Will I be better off creating a new character?

Wow! I'm stuck in the past!  :o

My current version is 3.015b, or atleast that's what I think I saw.

So do I just uninstall and then reinstall the new version? What should my next step be?

Ok, so the current version is 3.18? I think I already have that version. How do I check?

By the way, the server is never up. Is that regular maintenance? Or am I just not up to date? That's my real fear....not being up to date.

I don't what topic this falls under but I tried my best.

I haven't played this game in a long time. I think the last time I got on was maybe last year, october maybe. I'm wondering if there is anything I should know that I've missed.

Do I need to get a more recent version of the game? Any patches I need to download? Anything significant I should know about? Things of that nature I would like to know so I can return to the game.

Ive died and im in the death realm but i cant see much of anything. Like everything is very dark and i can hardly see 5 ft in front of me. I end up walking around blind in some areas and i end up falling and I die, and then the whole thing becomes a cycle. Someone told me i needed an update, I didnt think Mr/Ms. Doe was right but i checked anyway and it said I was up to date. Mr/Ms. Doe also told me that he/she could see fine. So i think ive got a problem.

Never mind i get it now, the only question i have now is what is the proper folder?

alright ill look for that patch

ok its still saying the same thing. ill tell you what i did. i uninstalled planeshift, then i installed it again using a mirror, then i used the link to download the patch, then i check for updates. did i do anything wrong?

The mirror worked very well but now everytime i try to play it says that i dont have the right version and i need to launch the updater (which i did like 5 times). What should i do?  ???

Wow you replied to that fast. Im impressed, that took a matter of minutes. Anyway, to me its taking ages. But do you think 7 to 8 hours is normal? Or should i check out those mirrors you proposed? Basically what im trying to say is, "Do you consider that long enough to check out the mirrors?"

Ive just started downloading PlaneShift for windows using the bittorrent but the time remaining keeps going up and up. I literally just looked at it and it said 7 days remaining. I started maybe 7 or 8 hours ago downloading it and it just keeps going up. So is it even downloading? Did I do something wrong? I dont know anything about torrent or what the green and red stripes are but if you could, could you tell me why its doing this or if im making any progress.
