Last time I fired up a compiled client and ran my own server, the NPCs greeted me on their own as I waltzed by them in NPCroom :D I'm not sure when that will be included/managed in current releases, but that at least is possible and was very cool. Although definitely annoying after some time, too.

Well this is interesting.  What other magical secrets are hidden in this client?

When weather is established, it should be that the hole dug is at first very obvious, but as time goes on it's worn away untill you can barely see anything remaining.

I don't really know what you mean by leaving.  I mean, I'm on these fourms all the time (mostly stalking and not posting), but I never play the game.  Personally, I think it's boring untill more content is added.  But that doesn't stop me from reading up on it, and downloading the newest version. So it all really depends on what you mean.

Also, I'm still wondering why this was posted here. ???

It's a good idea.  Although it might want to be changed for shopkeepers, they probably should have a sign that says, "Help wanted."

I don't know of many shop whose managers yell, "We need employees" from inside.

Well, what does the term "war" imply?  No large group fights just anywhere, they fight on a battlefield.  Battlefields are OUTSIDE cities, ususally far away.  If a little group is in a war with a large guild, then it'll stay inside a city.  Also, remember that the Cold War tought us that fighting is not just physical.  A small guild might be able to convince people not to trade with members of a larger guild.  Or maybe it'll sell things for lower prices than the larger guild.  As the boycott of the large guild continues, guild members leave.  Eventually:

A) the once-large guild  is small enough to take on
-or-
B)it'll surrender

Either way, no fighting.  Also, new things could be employed, like bribing guards to attack members of a guild, or poisoning a guild's stalls.  Who knows

No, I think this would take things too far. From I gather, traveling between realms at will only be possible if you're a skilled magician. Besides, at this stage, what will the point of it be?

The point of it would be to move your character if you were suffering from a bug that prevented you from using the /die command, such as an inability to get in game due to a problem with a map.

We're not talking about solving bugs any more, we're talking about a realistic, IC and unabusable way to avoid travelling long distances.

Say you get a PM that there's a GM event in Kada-El's, but you're an Enki who's all the way in BD. If your character already knows the way to Hydlaa (i.e. you've been there), and it's been off doing it's own thing for hours (i.e. you haven't logged in) then you should be able to say it's in Hydlaa by now. And then you can take part in the GM event. Nothing OOC, nothing abusable.

It's a good idea, but I don't like that you make the decision when your about to log in.  I think you should tell your charcter to go to X BEFORE you log off.  That's more realistic, seeing as this GM event might not have been thought up when you logged off, that shouldn't give you an advantage over someone who was playing.

may be _only_ a year or so away from that 1.0 milestone

Pffffffffffft.  The developers are moving as fast as they can, so yes, the game is improving quickly, but the grand scope that Talad has planed makes that idea completely rediculious.  There's supposed to be eight layers of land,  right now, we only have two cities on the first layer.  It might not be done in one lifetime, let alone one year.  :D

In other words, I may be a fanboy, but Vulcas is the opposite - he refuses to accept TLJ as a great game 'cause he hates the its writer... :P

True, he didn't make any good points against the game, only Tornquist.  And that has nothing to do with the game.  I mean, Michalangelo HATED the Catholic Church, but still painted the Sistine Chapel, which is the greatest work of art of all time.

You can.  That's what's awsome.  You can invest a little money in there, and if you play your cards right, then you can get it back, plus some return.

Not to mention the excelent oppertuinity of laundering drug money.  Not that that's what I use it for or anything......

A wild guess on some places where it's possible to find the richest players on this game....

WARNING: If this game has a forum, avoid flame war and personal offenses at all costs, you never know. The answer from the offended person may not come in the forum

I didn't mean for you to take what I said about money laundering seriously.  I mean, it could happen, but I doubt many gangsters are looking to shoot someone virtually.

I don't think Entropia Universe's been brought up.  It refuses to call itself an MMORPG, but it really is.  Plus, if you have the will, you can make money off of it because 10 Entropia dollars = 1 U.S. dollar.

Bears vs. Colts

Who will win?  What's a good play?  Hoe awsome were those last commercials?  Post it all here.

I don't know, "destroy" isn't very realistic.  I mean, no one I know walks around with a black hole into which they can just throw their carp.  Getting kind of off-topic though, sorry.
