libpng should not be the problem cuz i get that error to and dont have bigger graphical issues:)

(i´m using exactly the same libpng version)

ok this info helps.

bad news:the sound works at startup but as soon as i change the map or just change the window size to fullscreen (alt+enter) the sound is muted again.

i´m pretty stuck as i know know that the could not find file line does´nt matters

the sound also gets muted if i start a fight

to solve the graphics thing.i though nv=nvidia and i got a nvidia card so just try it.

the result was...lets say unexpected.
my sound works now (i really dunno why and what this option does, but the effect is enough)

the texture thing is still there, ill just play a bit with the conf and hope i can solve it too.

this is no help for you cuz nobody could help me as i write, but if a solution is found later u can check my thread from time to time, as i check yours;)

e:my client runs pretty well, i have not as much problems with the graphics as you but the same errors, are you sure your 3d hardware is running well?

looks like nothing changed, i get sound in the menu and char creation but nothing ingame.
The problem with wrong painted graphics like the grass (a white square around it, could be a wrong shader or so) is the same too.

this could be the reason why there is no sound, the game can´t find the files for the sound.

The Graphics are working more or less fine, some objects (like something on the way to the mining spot outside town) are not displayed but this doesnt matter for me:D

if anybody knows a solution for the graphics it would be more than fine, but i´d prefer a solotion for the sound:)

the alsa driver are activated by "SndSys.Driver.ALSA.SoundBufferms = 150" and working in the Character Creation so is dont think there is something with my alsa drivers/configuration.

my systemis ubuntu dapper with the newest alsa and nvidia drivers on an amd athlon.

hmm yeah the update is complete, the updater tells me that there´ s no newer version.
the server ins server file is laanx.fragnetics.com on port 7777 wich afaik is right.
I wonder why in the Official Servers the ip is wrong, but this could have been changed cuz i can´ t ping the ip listened there but the domain works.

My router also should be no problem cuz i enabled the DMZ(Demilitarized Zone) so it should´nt block any ports.
