Hi I know this topic has come on repeatedly but I still don't understand what my problem is.

My mac computer is version 10.4 and I recently dowloaded planeshift 10.4.8.
When I try loggin in it goes to the character selection screen saying that there are new updates available.

Next I try logging in but the game quits on the loading screen.

So I try to update the game with the updater that came with it...... didn't work
Next I downloaded the updater from the easy 3-step guide (the 10.4) one and tried to update it...... didn't work :'(

On both updaters it said during the dowload that mirror 1 doesn't work so it uses mirror 2 and thene says checking repository version.
Then it stops and doesn't seem to go anywhere from that part.

What should I do?

Thanks

Hi
I read the player guide and looked at the melee skill section.

What came to my eyes was "iron fist"
What are they? are they weapons implemented in the future?

Thanks!

Hi I read that there are going to be different forms of martial art in the future.

My question is if you have to limit yourself to one type of martial art or will you be able to learn a little from all of them.

Also does training in martial art mean becoming stronger in hand-hand combat? (some martial arts use weapons)

Thanks :)

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Weapons

I believe similar topics have come up repeatedly but here it is.

1. Why are daggers said to be the best weapon so far

2. I'm thinking of training in mostly melee but will its future weapons (iron fist, etc) have about the same base damage as othere weapons? (swords, spears, not daggers or axes, etc) I've already heard it all depends on skill levell and your statistics.
And it doesn't say much in teh manual

3. Do weapons in the same category have same base damage? (for instance claymore and saber)

4. Will the game allow the possibility of all weapons able blessed in the future?

Thanks

Will bows be one-handed weapons or two-handed weapons in future games?

bows are regular bows, crossbows, daggers, etc

Hi, I'm new to the game and have some questons.

I searched the forums and go tan idea that ifferent trainers level your skill and attributes depending on the NPC.

My question is are there same # of trainers, that will teach you to the highest attainable level, for each skill?
If no, will they implement them in future versions of PS?

For example
a person with level 10 sword skill wants to raise his level so he trains with a trainer and levels up

A person with a level 10 melee skill wants to level but there are no trainers who can help level him uup

Thanks

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Skill Limit
« on: December 10, 2006, 09:22:56 am »
Hi i'm new to the game and I have a question.

I read that there are skill levels for every skill, and the higher the level the better at the skill you are.

Is thnere a limit to the level of skill you can reach?

And also, does magic have a skill level? (darkarts level 2, red way level 2. etc...)

thanks

« on: November 23, 2006, 09:22:43 am »
Hi, i'm new to the game and i'm unsure what weapon i like best.

One specific question is how much damage melee weapons (hand to hand, iron fist, etc)
compare with other weapons such as swords.

Also what does it mean by
Advantages: fast to use

Thanks! :)

Newbie Help (Start Here) / vision

Hi, I,m sorry if this question has already been answered.

I just started playing planeshift and I was wondering what the difference was between normal vision and night vision.

(i read somewhere that night vision lets you see more in the dark but you still need a light source.)

Thanks
