Hi. I made a character. there is no "go into game" button, so I  clicked back and all that showed was "New Character". WHen I clicked that I had to redo my character.

HELP! How do I play??

Okay, so i tried installing Planeshift (the 18 version. I have no other versions, I have not ever played this before.) and I open it and the BitTorrent app opens. It has a red X by it and it won't download and it says there is an error. What am I doing wrong?

I am directly connected to the modem.

I'm pretty sure I have a 3rd party firewall, but I'll check.

Yes, I did read it right before i posted this topic.

"You need to allow the client to use bidirectional UDP on that port, to that server."

Like I said before, I don't know squat about techy-ness. I asked my dad if he knew anything about how to get this to connect, but he has no idea how. I'm currently googling the quote above and other things in the topic.

(I am also a Mac user)

I know the server sometimes goes down, but I don't think that it's the server. I've tried to log into the game (I've never played, I just downloaded it a week ago) multiple times, but it always says "Server: Failed". How can I fix this? I really want to play -- it looks so fun!

By the way, I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'd appreciate it if you talked in plain English ;)
