Does it just say \"Error\" or is there more in the Errormessage?
What Operating System do you use? Is your downlaod
complete? Did you check the md5 Sums?

I think everyone will recieve his reward for solving the quest. It\'s just a matter of time.. be patient.

Right devs?

Today on Homepage:

Actually the prizes are awarded manually, since the game doesn\'t yet support this feature. In addition we wanted to give big prizes just to the first players that completed the quest. For those reasons we will not provide weapon prizes to people beyond the 5th place. We are working on new quests that will award again big prizes.

So if you did not guess the right words in time there is no reward.
If they\'d tell that right away I would not have wasted that much time in the Quest. Better go Crystal Hunting instead.
Hard luck. :-(

Effect of the new policy: No cooperation of the players within the quest. Everybody on his own again in the next quest.

Is there any reward for the Quest if you did not make the top 4?
If yes how can I get it? I solved the quest and got nothing. :-(

Okay, i got a new Version form CVS. It compiles and it is running.
I can play Planeshift with it. But it claims to be v0.2.008. Strange.

Where can I download the source package?

I\'ve had that problem, too, but the solution is (or at least was for me) to copy the cs-config script from the crystals source directory (after you compiled crystalspace) to the cel dir and compile cel again (it should also work if you copy cs-config to the cel dir at the beginning and build cel only once...;))

Well its described in the cel readme I guess, but since there was a recent post about such problems I just posted it here...

I already tried that one. No success here.

Me too. Debian Sarge. Binary 006 was working. If I compilePS by
myself from CVS it will not run. It just complains about missing iDialogManager. The new Binary is not working on my System,
as described in http://www.planeshift3d.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=3321&boardid=17&styleid=2

In addition, people could easily make a binary package for their distribution from the source package....

Sure, I would try that. Is there any difference between the code from source package and CVS?

What about a static version like 0.2.006?

By the way: I checked the Package for  xwin.so. It is included,
but uses
libXxf86vm.so.1 => not found

The old xwin.so works without that lib so I can run pssetup.
Where can I get libXxf86vm?

I tried again to compile planeshift myself from CVS, but that does not work either. (It compiles, but the Programm does not run.)

According to the homepage the binary linux distribution was
tested (among others) on Debian Woody. I tried it with
Debian Sarge.

First Problem: missing xwin.so
Fix: copy xwin.so from old version.

Next Problem:
./psclient-bin: /lib/libpthread.so.0: version `GLIBC_2.3.2\' not found (required by ./psclient-bin)

Now thats difficult: Glibc 2.3.2 is really new. There is not even a
Package for Debian unstable. How could they test it with Woody?
Any Ideas?

If you are using the binary from planeshift-0.2.6.tar.bz2 you can\'t
change that. It is just too dark. xgamma does not help either.
You can try to compile it yourself from CVS. I did not yet manage
to make the cvs-Version work on my machine, but maybe you are more lucky.

The only thing with a given Vesion Number is jam. Maybe my \"Jam 2.5rc2\" is too new. I use the Libs from Debian Testing.

Okay, I compiled Planeshift from cvs as described above.
When starting psclient I get the errormessage:

Any Hints to get it work?
