Sangwa, my opinion was on the layout, or aesthetic as you called it, (first line) and then I passed along my congratulations (second line) to Rooker on a job well done overall. Having been in his shoes, I am pleased and impressed by his progression with the Guild.

I still enjoy watching the Empire grow, I just didn't think it was needed to make multiple posts to pass along two messages. That being said, allow me to expand on my congratulations. To Rooker, Sangwa, and all Dark Empire members, keep up the good work. :)

I find the layout easy to read and well ogranized. Opinions are opinions so I will toss mine into the mix as well.

Keep up the great work Rooker, I've been very impressed with the progression of the guild.

Ok, do you mean the whole XP operating system or just some files from Xp? And where to get them from, I don't have the whole XP system.
Thanks

Determine what kind of graphics card you have and go to the manufacturers website and download the XP driver for your card.

If you provide the card info, it would help.

Vista:

Start > type device manager in the search box > click the device manager program > look under display adapters.

OR

Start > right click computer > properties > device manager > display adapters

I've got PS running on two vista laptops, however the only way I can do it is by loading the XP drivers. Updating the drivers just makes the problem worse on both I've tried. Only downside to the downgrade is losing aero, if you consider that an upgrade in the first place.

Try it, if it doesn't work just install the 'latest' vista driver again.

The lighting system adds so much depth to the environment as do the changes in some sounds.  The two carts in front of Brado's are now really there instead of being able to be run through.  Oja has sky, not so creepy to visit Jirosh.  Kada's is lovely. This thread.

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Re: Please help me!!!!1
« on: September 08, 2007, 11:15:14 pm »
I play PS on a laptop running Vista.

I did not need a driver upgrade, but a downgrade to the XP driver.  If I run with the "updated" driver I get black screens where I should have text. I downgrade to the XP driver, works like a champ and I lose the glass interface. A fair trade in my opinion.

I've done this on two laptops and one desktop, all three with integrated video.

1. It would be nice if each tab in the communication window was stored in it's own log file.  This would help with finding information instead of sifting through lines and lines of combined tab information. name_main.txt, name_npc.txt, name_guild.txt ... etc.

General Discussion / Re: Running around with drawn weapons
« on: July 29, 2007, 06:52:12 pm »
There have been a lot of good ideas listed on this thread.  As for what I see now, while people do run around with weapons drawn there are those who put them away, or RP sheathing their weapons and have their descriptions written to support such an action.  My response when crowded by someone with weapons drawn is to glance pointedly at them (specifically their weapons), most people will then put their weapons away and typically apologize.  Those that don't, I just physically move a bit away from them, out of striking range, and continue on.

As for the rain, I happen to like it.  I did try observing it from the second level porch area at Kada's one day but the funny thing was that the rain fell right through the porch roof.

Vexonee checks the topic name...."[Guild] Imperial Guard".

She then checks the forum..."Guilds Forum".

This thread should be about the Imperial Guard, if anyone wants to RP situations and such, I suggest taking that the appropriate forum or, here is a crazy thought, take it in character.  As for personal jabs back and forth, there is a nifty little thing called a PM...give it a try.

For those of you that forget what this area was designed for I suggest you read the Rules for Guild post.

Has anyone had any luck with the following in running PS:

------------------
System Information
------------------
Operating System: Windows Vistaâ„¢ Home Premium
System Manufacturer: LENOVO
Processor: Genuine Intel(R) CPU           T2060  @ 1.60GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.6GHz

---------------
Display Devices
---------------
Card name: Mobile Intel(R) 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) GMA 950
Display Memory: 224 MB

Most recent available driver installed from Intel.

The game loads but I get extensive flickering and the inability to interact with tool bars, menus, chat window, etc.  Character body parts disappear and reappear.

UPDATE:  I dropped the driver down to Intel's XP driver for my card and PS works fine.  Of course I lose the Aero features of Vista....but that is the least of my concerns.
