Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Lags everywhere

Hello!
Whenever something happens in game, my PC does strong lagging. I mean, i have an P4 2,4GHz, 512MB RAM and an GeForce 4 MX 440.
All Graphics are turned to very low, but this silly thing still exists. What can i do?
