Making well-crafted new languages is a lot of work. Some player-generated efforts for the Nolthrir, Stonebreaker and Enkidukai are available on the PlaneShift wiki. I have heard that there is a player in-game who gives lessons in Enkien.  ::)

Mrriyah has missed the news but has noticed the absence of the cranky smelly old 'true' Enkidukai. She wonders where he may have taken himself off to, or if he gave up on things and found a private place to end it all.

Yliakum does have one solid and central government, known as the Octarchy.

It seems likely that this government would be heavy-handed with dealing with subversive books that encourage citizens to break the laws, or ones that somehow put the government at risk. Read the Octarchal Decree in Jayose's book for more on in-game law. I doubt the GMs have the time to enforce these laws, but one should probably roleplay with them in mind.

Thank you Steuben. I did try it out for a few days and the IP address didn't change as long as the computer was still up, so I think it wil be ok for the event without worrying about dyndns and firewalls and other tricky things for a server that I may not use again any time soon.

My IP address is dynamic, however, so I will post the current address at the beginning of the ball. If the music conks out during the ball, please send a /tell in-game and I will update the address here in this post so that people may continue listening to dancy Medieval/ Renaissance music!

I suggest saving the "Play All" link at the top of the page as "recurse.m3u" and then tossing that into your favorite mp3/ogg/flac player, from there you can shuffle or sort the files as you like.
