Linux Specific Issues / linux updater refreshing issue

i installed .019 a few days ago, fresh install

when running the updater a few minutes ago i realised i had to refresh the window manually (by minimising/restoring or rolling) or downloading would stop after about 10 seconds
-> if i don't refresh update will take forever and the gui doesn't show changes (progress bars)

also the updater failed to update itself (up), i had to replace up with the tmp file after exiting

i'm on gentoo, desktop is xfce4 + beryl if that matters

wenn sich chmod beschwert stimmen wohl irgendwelche rechte nicht. bist du mitglied in der gruppe games? ist ps für die gruppe games freigemacht?
ansonsten einfach mal
$ chgrp -R /opt/PlaneShift

könnte aber auch einfach an der .019 liegen...

oder braucht man zusatzpakete wie crystalspace?

When selecting amounts of goods, eg rat tails, for selling, it would be nice to have a button to max the amount instead of having to move the slider with the mouse or typing the amount in the text window

i discovered planeshift a few days ago, so i am not an expert, but i had similar problems

by training, you fill a green bar that covers the yellow bar. when the green bar is full you should get to the next level

there is no display of costs (which would be really great) before or after training, you have to watch your money and calculate what it cost

are the normals pointing the right direction?

the apple that is working... how did you model it?
did you do anything special you may have missed with the other one?

i run with athlon xp 1800+, 512 mb ram, 512 mb swap, 64 mb graphics card

ram + swap are almost full, but it works somehow. could be a bit more fluent

settings are minimum almost everywhere except textures set to 1/4 instead of 1/16
