LigH - I am so glad you made your suggestion - I did try it with the password I thought was the right one, it seems I had somehow saved a wrong one at some point!  I'm back in the game!!

Sorry for the delay - I didn't get my notification!

The problem with that is no matter how tolerant - I have no idea of the password!

My config file has both hashes in it, so I guess it automatically picked it up and converted it but I still can't log in. 

I have the following information:

...
PlaneShift.Connection.RememberPass = true
...
PlaneShift.Connection.Zeroping Host (RP).Password = short hash
...
PlaneShift.Connection.Laanx server (Main).User = my old email I've always used to connect
PlaneShift.Connection.ConvertPass = true
PlaneShift.Connection.Laanx server (Main).Password = the short hash again
PlaneShift.Connection.Laanx server (Main).Password256 = the new one

So I don't see why I can't log in.

I have found the planeshift user config file which has the encrypted password in it.  It has the same one for the old Zeroping server and the new Laanx server and has converted it to the new encryption too.  I can't understand why I am still getting incorrect username/password errors.

Does this mean my account was deleted sometime since 2011?

Hi All,

I am back to check out progress again.  I stopped playing in about 2008 as even with a PC upgrade I was having real issues.  I came back in Sept 2011 and I found that the role-playing had really slipped, even on the dedicated RP server so I stopped playing again. 

An old PS friend got in touch and we want to check things out but I can't remember my password.  The email I first registered with changed way back so I can't reset it.

I really don't want to create a new character as I had put so much work into this one originally.

Is there any way to reset the email and password associated with my account?

I've just come back after a long time away and thought I'd read through the history of Yliakum and I noticed that Lanxx keeps changing from male to female!!  :o  Just thought I'd mention it!  :D
