not being able to work is a feature wise issue while you are pointing a performance issue

Is there a possibility - anywhere in the game setups - to turn off those "features" then? At least the ones, which make the game unfunctional...I assume, these might be kind of "shader effects?"

Because of stability reasons, I will stick with the open source drivers in a long term perspective, too - the only program, that doesn't work for me is PlaneShift so far.
Thank you.

Skardellinus sighs, when he reports...
"I was guarding two friends of mine in a hidden and dark location behind the Kada-El area...I had only little luck with already having wielded my pair of short swords while I was watching and guarding the mentioned area...Thus I seemed being too concentrated of getting aware of the dark person, who immediately appeared out of the darkness...He or she had a black cloak and looked like a necromancer, who I have seen on my travels already...Our conversation - at least, what I am remembering - was the following:
I said: "Who are you, sir?"
Qia stands protectively in front of Mrokii
The dark person said: "You sir, are to surrender your tria or die where you stand"
I said: "I won't do anything, sir...just feel challenged"
Then he hit me with one of the hardest strikes, that I have ever experienced. I suppose, at least only Raithen at the Bronze Doors Eagle or a Talad-Ulbernauth-Chimera in their young years might have had such a power... [20k damage, lol]...while exhaling my last breathe, I only had time to say..."Let the ladies alive"
He looted my whole money...But now I am back in Hydlaa again and report this therefor to the local officers. Thank you for your attention, I hope, the ladies have been able to escape...

The things about unionizing didn't seem overtly present in the body of the guild post as it just seemed to be encouraging players to give mules a personality but through an IC voice.
I think, if one only reads the words, that are spoken by Ekkdoram, it makes sense. For sure this Enkidukai does not know about 'unions'...the terms and so on, but I think, he gave a start for this kind of thinking.

Quote
Why does it just have to be mules though? What if my main is a member of the actual lower class and he wishes to unionize? I believe there is too much focus on the idea of mules and not enough on the idea of normal characters which should be more the norm, particularly in guilds.

I really should have avoided this 'mules' bracket term, lol...okay...my answer to this are just citations from Ekkdoram above...
Quote
We, this is for now me and a few fellows, have founded a 'guild'. A guild for all of us, who just work all the days. We are the people, who only carry potions, flasks, hides...
Quote
So if you want to join us, you the lower class, THE WORKING CLASS, then feel free to contact any of us. You will find a place, where you can stay and a rank, where you can feel proud of. You will belong to something finally and get a voice for your needings. You are not only a senseless crystal runner, a potion carrier and weapon storage man or girl anymore. Also krans are as welcome as elves, Ylians and as all of the other races, which have their own working classes.
I think, Ekkdoram adresses everybody and as I have stated below, I did also:

Willingly I will answer your questions, Parallo.

Quote
Horrid, just horrid. You need more of a line drawn between IC and OOC in my opinion.
This is not a question, it is a statement - if you want me to comment it, please go more into the details and I will be more than willingly to write a re-statement.

Quote
What is the thing concerning citizenship and minds all about?

My try of an answer would be the following. I consider this guild more like a 'union'...in terms of a 'party' (not a with the government interacting party for sure) and voice for all of the hard working people. The 'working class'.
Unions are one potential answer for workers at the lower end of the income distribution, but is a return to unions the best solution to the market power imbalance? Should we stay without unions, or should we try to use the political landscape as an opportunity to build better institutions for both workers and firms, institutions that offer workers the same degree of bargaining power that unions provide, and the same degree of income, health, and retirement security, but do so more efficiently? We already know how unions work, pretty much, but can we do even better? I don't know and the time will show, if this system will work out here in this game landscape.
A proposal to implement novel policy has no chance of surviving the political process in a settings like this, even if it is well-grounded in economic fundamentals, and even if it looks to be a clear improvement over unionization for everyone involved. There is the octarchial-governmental llegislation. But why not found a guild for only workers? And this includes the so called 'Citizenship'. I think, an honorable invention and it does not interfer with any terms, that are inside the settings.
To get back to the second part of your question..."and minds all about"...Well. I suppose, that having a mind could be one (but this is now really the only one) requirement to join this guild. I refer to the character for sure. I don't like mindless individuals - in my sense, those aren't individual.

Quote
And just that sentance makes my head reel. Seriously.

Well, I shoud have written it down more sensitively. You are completely right, but I wanted to mention the 'use your mules more in an in game sense and interact with them' thing once again. Pardon, if it came too lax...

Quote
*edit*
That sounds awful negative, sorry. You just need more reason to make a guild than so that people can have fun with mules. If you make an alt with the intention of not rping with it then fine but all characters should be considered characters as is.

I think, there is enough reason to get together in a working class guild and to fight for members rights and give them a voice. I am not your opinion, sorry, and I also think, that the speech by Ekkdoram is enough reason, explanation and background to interact in a wonderful way here in PlaneShift. Please just relate in future to the speech of Ekkdoram, not my (like I said before) very unsensitive bracket-terms. I should not have written anything in brackets - again a big excuse...I should have let here the pure speech of Ekkdoram. You may be right, if you meant this and relate to this one.

, I cannot say anything, because I have had no chance to read it. Must have been negative then. Why have you written this term then in the *edit* and did not just delete the negative text? Pardon me for not being possible to guess this.

I thank you for your constructive criticism and am willingly to improve the guild's background, but I don't see any suggestions from your side so far.

So being as the ranks are named by the first few members does that person get to define what it takes to be 'promoted' to that rank, I.E. Roleplaying ability, recruiting, overall honour, integrity, ect.

[If the possibility is there (settings related), to give everybody his own rank, there would be no reason, to not simply give everybody his or her own rank - and no, no requirements, no hierarchic system. The guild really won't 'recruit' in game. For sure it is nice, if somebody is able to bring his alt into the game finally and roleplay this more. But again - no requiremements]

Quote
Just a thought that Ekkdoram's rank would have a certain criteria to attain if all the ranks are already allocated to individuals. [I realize that ekkdoram's rank is guild master and no others can attain that]

[I have not said one word, that Ekkdoram would not give his 'level' (you are talking about the 'level 9', right?) to anybody, who wants to have this one.  \\o// For sure in this guild there is no 'chief' position. Only individuals. To extend this question even - as the guild would only invite 'roleplaying alts' - or at least very unknown characters, who really roleplay well, who are hard to find, there would not really arise a problem with this (abuse of the chieftain position and so on) - Everybody can have 'level 9'...I know, that now somebody will tell the word 'ooc'again, because "How would one be possible to separate alts ic from other characters and this can only be ooc", I just want to add..."Just say it, I won't comment it much". It is considered to be a roleplaying 'working class' guild]

The Guild "The Working Class" and its history so far...

Skardellinus pushes the Menki in front of him on the plaza into a little crowd and whispers into his ear..."Ekkdoram, now please tell them"

The Enkidukai turns back to Skardellinus, nods and then confronts the crowd with his topic. He raises his voice and starts to speak with a soft and warm voice, that can be heard all over the plaza...

"People from all over Yliakum, just hear my little story. If you feel disturbed, then leave or ignore it. There are many of us and now a few of us have started to organize. There are many of us, who became abused, treated in the worst sense, but now again...we are starting to organize."

Ekkdoram makes a short break, takes another long breath and continues...
"We, this is for now me and a few fellows, have founded a 'guild'. A guild for all of us, who just work all the days. We are the people, who only carry potions, flasks, hides..."
He becomes red, as far as this is possible with all of his fur in the face, and continues more angrily..."We ran miles and miles, only because one of the so called 'masters' told us to get an item and carry it to someone else again. Only, because they tell it to us. Can one imagine that? Hey. Now just get organized and get yourself done and try to set rules for all of this work.
"

[ :beta: This is a guild for a complete senseless ooc reason...get your mules organized...get your alts into a guild and give them an ic sense :) I hope, there won't start a flame war now - the poster should be my mule 'Ekkdoram', so please adress him with your criticisms :beta:]

The Enkidukai called Ekkdoram again speaks..."We are still in the beginning for now. There is only one simple rule for all of you, who want to join. Don't let the masters tell you everything. Start to think by your own. Be individual. Don't stay an empty body without a mind, a mindless worker. Be a part of our wonderful community of citizens. Yes, you are also a citizen. This means full citizenship. Think of this.
To get back to topic. We are not that well and profoundedly organized as many of these great and well thought professions' guilds, like crafters and warriors are...but honestly, we also have our proud. I will start this Organisation now with my humble thought of a community. I created nine ranks and every of the nine members has an own rank so far, which is named like the owner of the rank. So my rank from now on is 'Ekkdorams Rank'...Nobody can take that away from me anymore. Also Arosir and Alliele have their own ranks already. And please the others. Support us and give us the feeling, that we are somebody.
"

Skardellinus grins and claps on Ekkdoram's back. "Well spoken and done before, Ekkdoram. I wish you the best for your guild"

Ekkdoram smiles back to Skardellinus and then makes a bow to the present crowd..."Thank you, people of Yliakum"...he turns back to the Ylian and walks away with him into the direction of the Kada-El's, awaiting lots of joiners, sympathisants and men, krans and women in general, who will support this 'good thing', that would have been needed ages ago.

[ :beta: So again, this is only the post to the above mentioned guild 'The Working Class', who supports the mules and alts, the poor broken quest heros, who are lost in their task now and shall give them a place to stay :beta:]

Same problem here again...One of my alts 'Skardellinus' (first from this account's list) doesn't load with the same issue...
:(

[Wow...fixed very quickly! Thank you, Talad] :)

The number of the tickets had been on the tickets...so everybody who had a ticket knew, which number he/she had. I don't see the problem. Why should it be public, who bought how many tickets and with which specific number?

The specific player is banned by our guild now.
No informations about us here and no informations about The Organisation for non-members at the webpage...if you want to experience The Organisation, then feel free to ask one of us in game.]

Railen says: Thank you
Darven eyes the chest of tria.
Delom watches Darven closely.
Lesilie goes to the tavern and get beer

>Tematus gave Railen 10 Small keys, a Small key.
Railen says: Thank you Tematus
Tematus hands the keys over.
Tematus says: Congrats.
Railen grins looking embarrased
Andoryn cheers for Railen!
Delom takes a scroll from his pocket and writes something on it.

Railen smiles "Thank you Andoryn"
Tutoned says: they are sleeping deep i guess...
Delom signs his name on the bottom.
Glodin says: Let us get out of here. I need a drink
Darven Bounash says: Hey, pally. Give me three tria, and we'll play us a game.
Ebrasch says: help me gathering up Zwenze then
>Ebrasch stands up.
Delom holds the scroll out to Tematus "And you need to sign where indicated."
Nefert congrats again her new neighbours
>Nefert stands up.
Glodin shakes Zwenze
Tematus eyes Delom, but signs.
>Zakrei greets Aiwendil Hallacar.

Glodin says: Wake up Keeper!
Delom walks over to Darven.
Zwenze opens his eye: Have we won?
Glodin says: erm
Delom hands Darvent the scroll to sign.

1. Great idea  in general :-[
2. Please tweak out a solution for newly joined people... ??? ...In my humble opinion there is a need for it...They won't stay as testers very long, I suppose...If I remember correctly, there is also a need for testing the 'combat system' and not only the 'roleplaying' and you would decrease the possibility there for newly joined players...(I think, I don't have to explain, why 'new powerlevellers' would soon disappear, if it stayed like it is now...For sure I am able to explain it, so feel free to ask me)

Skar...

P.S. For sure, I prefer 'roleplaying' to 'power levelling', but if you want to improve your 'combat system' in the long run future, you should have a separation between low-statistic and high-statistic players concerning the DR-punishment. Please implement a formula someone other suggested before (/24?)...Don't remember the name ;)
