Newbie Help (Start Here) / Banking, how does it work?
« on: November 24, 2007, 06:35:41 pm »
I have tried several times to try the new banking system out.
I just don't understand it.
I click on William Chorind, then the trade icon.
From this point I'm lost.
I don't know how to give him my money or and item.
Is there someplace I can go in game to find the information on how to use the bank?
Please help.

Go to your options, graphics, detail and either lower your distance until you lag no more ... or set it to adaptive distance, chosing the frames per second (FPS) you can live with. 20-25 should be enough to see no lag.
Thank you, Zan.  This has proven to be most helpful.
I guess we don't need sheep after all...lol

In case it was missed, there are many other threads with the same message. No need to start another one.

Gee...thanks, I totally missed that.  :-X

I am of the opinion that Hydlaa needs free roaming sheep, goats and donkeys.

Here is my reason: The place has become overgrown with long grass and this is slowing movement down to almost a crawl.  The stuff must be incredibly thick and a force of nature to make a Kran slower than it already is.

When the long grass was only in the Gazebo area by the Hydlaa plaza, it was fine.  It slowed things down a bit when having to go in that area, but now, with the stuff all over town....oh boy.... :o I can hardly run let alone walk through town now.

Harnquist's smithy is just about unpassable for me now.

I say we get some sheep, goats, donkeys or whatever other grazing animals out there, to come and chew this stuff down.
We can use the by product (manure) to "spread good will".  *giggles uncontrollably*

(In case it was missed, this is a complaint about the lag the grass is causing, when loading with every move in Hydlaa.  ;) )

I know this is a total newbie question, but when the new download for .020 is available, where would I go to find it?
Will there be a link on this forum or will I have to keep watch some place else?

Thank you in advance for your help and understanding.

Can't wait for the new update

I came late (very late) to the last event.
I ran my legs off to get there, just in time to see a whole slew of rats with names.
I don't know why or how it happened but my best friend is a RAT!!!!!  (pats poor, poor Stug on his furry little rodent head...*giggles*)
I almost fell down laughing.... \\o//
To see all these little rats scrurrying out of the cave near the Bronze Doors, will be a sight I won't soon forget.

Thank you for the best laugh I have had in quite sometime.

I am new to this game.
I have played other role playing games.
I have never played hack and slash games before.  (Any game that forces you to kill to survive, is a hack and slash game to me)
What drew me to this game is the fact that I don't ~have~ to kill something to play. (Yes, I understand that if I were to kill things, I would move up faster in stats and such, but that isn't what interests me.)
I know that the way I have chosen to play, isn't the norm for this game. The fact that I can actually play this way and still enjoy myself, speaks volumes about the quality of this game.
The quests are great fun.  (I am grateful for the warriors who happily go out and get those Ulbernaut hearts that I willingly pay for.  :D )
The world is wonderful to see and explore.  I look forward to seeing more. (I get alot of excercise running from the mobs...lol)
And being able to be part of the community (I'm a miner and a healer) adds to the fun of the game.
I also look forward to being able to doing other non-violent jobs.
My only complaint, is that the girl elves are near naked.  :-[  I don't understand why that is.  All the other races that have girl avatars avalible are properly clothed.
As for old times, I am looking forward to being around long enough to have similar tales to tell.
A newbies point of view.  ;)
