Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / exception_address_violation at 0040FFE1 : application crashes at launch

Application crashes during world launch.

Steps taken:

I have uninstalled and re-installed PS. I continue to get the same error.

Application worked fine until now. I didn't have a problem until rebooting for a Firefox update. Are the two events related?
