a "screnshot" of the event

* Lenade Lavor thanks the chat filter for keeping him from getting banned.

Anyway, would people like to describe the events for those that missed them?

The only one I was at was the one with the petrified Kran. Basically he just magically woke up (there was another group that was with dark wanderer, so it would be nice to have their point of view while this was happening) and we were following him outside when he told us something about Dark Wanderer keeping him petrified. Thats also when we happened to run into Dark Wanderer and his group :p

There were shouts of "Kill (opposite GM character here)!!!" from both sides, and the Dark Wanderer turnned into a Malburnaut I think. I decided to join them a bit before this since the Krans were... well we had our disagreements. Dark Wanderer's side began to attack the petrified Kran which also turned into a Malburnaut. I was lucky enough to get deal the final blow. Anyway, the Kran came back again and turned into a Carkarass (poison I think) and I was finally turned into a rat (after many others).

I missed a lot after that because Lecay was being a _____ and wouldn't stop trying to kill me even after I yielded in a duel... It didn't seem like much else happened though.

Thanks for the great events! I look forward to reading about drunken Harn and Levrus burning his place down

How is this a complaint? I haven't seen it implimented yet.

Except for the Winch access quests maybe... And dwarves climbing...

Wow though, big deal there. It is hard to avoid every single instance of that.

Again, if I were complaining I would be talking about something I don't like about the game.

In-Game Roleplay Events / Re-Introducing Friday night HAGS!
« on: October 12, 2007, 11:27:09 am »
As some of you might remember, Friday night HAGS (Hide And Go Seek) used to be hosted by Mordaan and the Explorers guild. As far as I know, this is no longer happening.

So, I would like to announce that I will be hosting the games each Friday [starting at 2100 GMT]. We will all meet at Harnquist's place when the games begin. There the rules for that particular round will be explained to everyone.

Some general rules, borrowed from the old HAGS games:

"-   All those interested join in a group (/tell me if you are interested)
-   Boundaries are chosen and all must find a hiding spot only within those boundaries (no changing zones, unless it is specified you can do so).  And remain in that spot until found.
-   One or two seekers are chosen, depending on how many are playing (volunteers are selected for the first game).
-   Once a seeker has found someone they must /greet their target and announce in the group channel (since greet is only local – a bit of an honor system here).
-   Once a hider is found, he/she becomes a seeker.
-   The last one (or two) found become the first seeker(s) in the next round.
-   No glitching or GM powers to get to places one cannot normally get to (or simply put, no hiding in places which require an /unstick to get out of).
-   No looking in your guild window to see where guildmates might be."
And a new one for updates in the game since then: Turn off labels.

At the start of each round I will accept any donations people wish to give for the winners. Hopefully people will decide to spare something to make it a bit moee interesting.

I look forward to seeing you all there! Send me a tell in game if you have any questions!

First round starts in less than 12 hours!

Wish list / What I DON'T want to see.

I really like this game. I don't have any complaints.

I just want to say that what I really don't like about games is when there is something that one group of people can never do that another can. I mean things that add to the storyline like quests, and accessability to certain areas, certain abilities.

That's all. Just looking for feedback/info about this I guess.

Thanks again for the great game  :)

*edit*

To clarify, I don't mean that everything should be the same for everyone. People should have their (dis)advantages, certain things should be harder for some. Just making things impossible though takes part of the experience away.

Ah well I tried, but my attempt doesn't do justice to all my friends after what you wrote. So I would just like to say a simple thank you to them all. You know who you are. Thank you for making this game so enjoyable  ;)

I think that you should die when you fall off the map. I used to jut do that to get back to hydlaa, bypassing even DR.

I also think that if you type /die BEFORE you have a failed /unstick, you should get a penalty. It would help at least a little bit.

For when going to death realm is required for some reason, and not just an aspect of being hit in the face with an ulber deadly claw... There could be on or a few places meant to take you to death realm, through some mechanism (maybe a painless death). This would allow people to still go to death realm without making it much of a shortcut to get there. It would probably work best if there were one place to do this, somewhere in between Oja and Hydlaa. Maybe also it takes some time to get into death realm this way?

Read some books people, they hold all truth! :P
Socius bought a book from a dwarf, It said it was healthy to drink ale through your nose because if cleanses your nose from nose rats....
>.> Maybe that's the thing you saw! A gaint flying nose rat, I got away from the DR guards nose when it was drinking ale through his nose!

You should design the storyline for this game.

I think this is about the 1000th time we have had the problem... It can last an hour, a day, a week... As a normal time I would say maybe 6 hours?

I agree. We have no access to the server so we can't exploit it, and by the time we get back on it will be fixed. I agree out of self interest though, if you suddenly realise that you did it, just by being told how it is done... well...
