I don't know...i click the ground (right click, that is) like i do on an NPC to train, but i don't get any options popping up. Might just be my problem? No clue...anyone else having this issue?

I would recommend trying to go into PS setup and make texure downsampling 1/2 and then doing the readme fixes...there's also a change that can be made to vertex buffer but i'm not sure if it should be on or off. I'll edit this post if I can find that fix...Good luck

I tried the portals now and says "You are not sure what to do with this" ... i've control clicked it (since i'm on a MacBook) but it's still not working. A friend on a PC is having the same issue...are we doing something wrong?

Okay, i reinstalled, changed false to true, did the "read me" changes, and made text downsampling 1/2 ... are there any other fixes i've forgotten? (sorry, done this so many times now, it's hard to keep them all straight)

The message comes up when i try to open pssetup. i can't even open it to change the texture downsampling...i guess i'll try reinstalling?

Update: Had it running then my harddrive crashed. So i've been trying to download it again and when it's loading, it crashes again. This is the log I get:

? Does this mean anything? Also, when i tried to run pssetup and set that thing to 1/2, it says "is not supported on this system"

So Carrie, if we are having gaps in the maps, is there anything we can do about it now? Read this thread but i'm all thrown off because of people saying the used old maps. I'd really rather not do that. What are my other options for getting past these gaps?

Really don't care for having mods relocate me all the time so i'm using the old maps, whether it's recommended or not...since a large number of us are having this issue, hopefully things will clear up fast. Stay in Oja (the only map available to me with the new ones), or go mine in Gug?

I'm having the same problem with Ojaroad1. Can only get to Akk-central up to ojaroad1 before finding this problem when the new map is loading. Already reported to bugtracker before i found this post, sorry Caarrie. Tried running the updater again and no updates.

EDIT: Turning the vertex buffer object off fixed my problem as far as I can tell :)

Great thank you very much!! Now i found the FreeNode but it then gives me a drop down list of different servers in different locations? Does it matter which one I choose?

*sigh* i swear i don't mean to be a hassle. but now i downloaded that kvirc and first of all didn't really know what to download. so i did something and got a zip file. unarchived it and got a folder with tons of stuff in. Not sure what is the actual program i need to run...

I'm on a mac and neither of those are compatible..now what? are their any other programs i can download? I've been going to http://webchat.xs4all.nl/ and going in to #planeshift and #planeshift-gmtalk but i'm the only one in there...?

Yes, I agree Sen. I had no idea what IRC was or how to access it. granted, i saw it mentioned in previous posts but with no real explanation. I've also been checking in the IRC allllll day long and noone's ever in there...how can i get help if there's never anyone there? :\
