Mac OSX Specific Issues / Non responsive keyboard with fullbright enabled

I'm so exicted I finally made it to the death realm! But now I have a problem...
After I reboot with fullbright enabled, using either terminal or PSClientCMD, my keyboard stops responding ingame. I can't type anything in the chat window, can't move via keystrokes, and can't change my view. I assume that I can't be the only one to have experienced this, but haven't discovered any prior threads mentioning it. I'm on a Powerbook G4 1.33Ghz 10.4.11. Please help!
