Average FPS:  Unknown (I don't know how to find this information)
Platform-specific bugs encountered:  Game no longer freezes instantly but I can't play for more then five minutes. I did do the fix posted here http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=30575.0 so I can at least get a little ways into the game now.

if you moved the game off the dmg as you said and you are modifing the files that are on your hd, i see no reason that it does not work.

  I just moved the whole thing but your statement there clued me in and I actually copied it off to applications. I was able to edit the file and now I'll load the game to see if that solved my computer freeze problem. I apologize, I'm still learning the finer details of Mac use,  though I should have picked that bit up months ago.

I am having the same problem, I can not save the changes. I did copy the the disk image to my folder and I am the admin. But, I've only had my Mac since March so I am pretty new to Macs and may be missing something.

you copied it to what folder?

I had it under applications, do I need to move it to Mac HD or elsewhere?
