Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / doh

I\'m having a similar problem. . .
I\'m running Mandrake 9.1 and I followed all instructions in the Linux How-to.
my output looks like this:

by the way, if it helps I have an Nvidia TNT2. . .kinda shitty, but hey.
