Just to update, I've installed the new motherboard any still get the same error, any thoughts or progress with this?

Hi,
I too am getting this error and have an AMD XP2400 running MythDora 4.0 which is Fedora Core 6 I believe. PS works fine on my Windows box and Intel laptop running PCLinuxOS. I do have a new motherboard on the way with the nForce chipset instead of this manky VIA KT266 so if that makes any difference I'll let you know.
I'm only putting it on here so my missus can play too. I've been banned from talking about PS until she has a chracter so this is serious!
