ok well a reinstall and a restart seemed to fix that issue. Now I get severe flickering on the login screen...I can loosely navigate around the login and character creation but it's not really playable. any help?

When I try to start planeshift I get the following:

Missing `=' on line 187 of /this/psclient.cfg
Your configuration files are in... /home/syth/.PlaneShift
DEBUG: Sound System Software Renderer Initializing...
ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment.

and I'm just left with a black screen. any ideas?
