:sorcerer: The easiest way to resolve the problem is for the developers to code the game in such a way so that no one can find a way to steal from others.  Clearly, the developers have failed under this circumstance and poor Magitex was unjustly punished for it.  Not much of a community if you leave behind even 1 member who just happened to be playing the game within allowed code parameters.  :sorcerer:

Unfortunately, Sarko lacks GM experience and should not take on such a role that requires fairness to everyone, even the under dogs who just happen to figure out something over time and fairly got away with it.

Imagine the interesting RPing that will be happening now in the next several months.  Watch out everyone!

Guild House > Guild House Key > Guild Member = Individual Responsibility  \\o//

Real People Behind The Screen > Character Moving Controlled By Real Person > RP Environment > Individual Responsibility With Real Eyes To Witness Bad Behavior / Good Behavior > Screenshot (Proof) Of Action Taken > Hand Over Evidence To GM / DEVS

Server Collects Data > GM Uses It To Improve Game / Not Use It Against Player In Game Actions Unless Proof Is Sent To GM In The Game

No Screenshot > No Video Recording > No RP Chat Log For Malicious Intent Said To Other Players > No Proof

............ I think this is what Magitex was trying to make clear to everyone in a simple manner.  Looks fair to me.  \\o//

............ Real players no longer take responsibility for their own actions while playing a game and would rather screw over another player by ratting them out using GM's + OOC Tools > To Maintain Self By Revenge

I rarely get on but after reading all that, I have come to the conclusion that the community of (real players) distorted everything, ganged up on, and whined their way to making Magitex's life miserable.  Magitex is rarely seen by me but I usually caught him running back and forth to the mining spot outside Hydlaa.  He also plays mostly during the later hours past 11PM eastern time to do what ever he is doing.  I personally have never caught him stealing or doing anything wrong in the game.  And even if he did steal something, he is right.  Unless someone personally caught him doing in red handed, he's by definition as a player in character mode innocent since stealing is possible in the game.  The fact of the matter, Magitex RPed very well and did not get caught by a real player and no one can handle it and is just whining about it except a few players who clearly understand that it's all part of the game.  In conclusion, give him back his tria he RPed very well in game as a deceptive bastard thief and learn from your mistakes when it comes to in game stuff.

I am happy he won't be banned. He makes the game very interesting and I have learned a lot when it comes to one-day picking out my guild and being responsible for my stuff and guild building.  I am not picking anyone side but Magitex has done nothing wrong if we all can recongnize that he stole IC (in character) and did a very good job being sneaky about it in a planned manner.  He's right, only a real player should be able to ban or use proof against him, not a non living game variable like an NPC who repetitively says what is programmed by devs.

Psychological mumbo jumbo and manipulation of words will not phase me.  No wonder society continues to degrade; every individual (most not all) is only interested in changing the variables to their own petty whims.

I however do not do this and just appreciate the way things are now and allow the DEVS to use their best judgement to make this open source free project work to the best of human ability.

once again, please kindly leave the barking outside and enter only when you actually have logic thought.

:detective: very sneaky approach you have but I nor anyone else of intellect is going to be fooled.

There is nothing wrong with the skill based system:  IF the devs made it hard to max it to 200, THEN so be it.
IF certain skills are not hard to get to 200, THEN so be it.  Just take it for what it is and work hard, work hard, work hard, work hard.

The life form that works the hardest reaps the greatest rewards.
That has always been the most fair system since the beginning of time.

NOTE:  It's not wrong to leave slackers behind if their WILL is weak and they are not driven for success by any means possible.
ONLY EXCEPTION: It's wrong to leave slackers behind if the ones at the top of the food chain have rigged the system.

Stating "move along is a self-inflicted wound created by the whiner not a rude comment". Thanks for putting words or mislead concepts in my mouth.

The concept is very simple: IF you want change in the game, THEN code it yourself.  OTHERWISE, be humbled that this open source project so graciously is available to you.  Too makers takers, not enough doers.

EXAMPLE:  I have been waiting for many years for the tailoring skill but it has not happened yet.

I also struggled with the quests even their limitations, but with patience, the DEVS resolved the issues.
I also realize that some skills even if they are maxed still do not allow me to accomplish certain facets of the game because game mechanisms have not been balanced yet.  It is what it is so instead of whining I sought to focus on other skills in the game.

The point is this:  If your precious time is felt hindered, then it's time to go channel that time and energy else where away from PS.

TO Echoes91:

No offense my friend, but the DEVS are doing a great job with this game.  Roughly every 2 months, a major update happens and most seem pleased with the results.  Open source, which implies that EVERYONE understands that no devs should be rushed to make the game better and devs will address issues from the BUG TRACKER, not forum onions of individual minds.  Please kindly stop whining and if you feel you cannot do something at this time because it has not be implemented or made possible, then patience is all you will get.  If you cannot wait for your own little petty needs, then perhaps it's time to gracefully say goodbye and move along citizen.

Perhaps you should try focusing on a different aspect of the game and try and proactively RP more with your community instead of grinding skills.  "Those who wait (even if its a few more years) will reap the rewards of good developer coding".

In-Game Roleplay Events / Re: First Yliakum Economic Council

Oh, I get it! You all are forum role-playing.  Almost got me there!

The idea seems plausible but as of right now I don't really see a problem with the economy (tria system) when buying and selling items.

Please enlighten me with some concrete examples.........

Guilds Forum / Re: effectively defunct guilds with houses
« on: July 08, 2014, 06:22:06 pm »
I DISAGREE:

The owner of the Guild House has complete control as to whom gets to take over it.  As soon as the leader of the guild provides permission and gives over the guild key to the designated player, the transaction is final and legitimate.  A true democracy means the owner of the guild decides what is to be done with their virtual property.  Simple as that.

Note To Sneaky Freeloaders:  If you don't own it, mind your own business and stop manipulating basic fundamental principles of ownership.  Your opinion is null and void and only the owner's opinion is valid unless he/she deems necessary others input.

Does you guild have a guild hall?  I'll be on from time to time if you want to give me a TOUR and show me the place.  What are your expectations?  I am DEFINITELY looking for my own guild to own and guide/lead.....

The new system is good BUT when using the skill, it creeps up horribly slow when getting to the next level: From level 50 and on, it almost seems pointless to enjoy using the skills anymore : (

If I have 5 + creatures attacking me at the same time, that bar better fill up fast.  Otherwise, I clearly have no clue what the point of the new system is.......

1.) Not necessary.

2.) That would make it too easy.  Hard work and determination is the ONLY way to reach goals in life.  No shortcuts and lazy attitudes. My two cents.

tid-bit: if the mount option of letting an additional player ride is implemented, this is the only way you are going to travel faster besides actually doing all the quests like everyone else.
