Pandabandito, if you were playing Planeshift during the time 0.4.00, then you simply need to run the updater, however you need to run it from a terminal window.
In Finder, Navigate to Applications --> Planeshift --> Right click on 'psupdater' and click 'show package contents' --> Contents --> MacOSX --> Followed by double clicking on 'psupdater_static'.
However if you joined us and downloaded the client 0.4.01, click here and put the new updater in your Planeshift folder and perform the above steps.
It should then launch in a terminal window and update, however if you get a message: 'updaterinfo.xml is not active' simply spotlight for the file 'updaterinfo.xml' and open it in textedit. On the first line change the 'false' to 'true'.
Did you follow my instructions for opening the updater? And when did you download Planeshift?
i think i did but idk i'll try again and i downloaded it 'bout 5 hours ago
Mind explaining what didn't work, and giving information about what client you're running and system specs?when i click on psclient or psupdater it bounces up and down in the dock a couple o time then quits and whats system specs and what client yr usein mean?
