I have checked the guide, the section for old Macs, Tymm's essential fixes and searched the forums. Apologies if I should have found something I didn't
My problem isn't specific to this version because I tried to get Planeshift to run about six months ago with no success and gave up. Here is what is happening to me.
First, PSUpdater didn't work, but I got the old updater and used that. It seemed to work fine. PSSetup works but is glitchy. All the text is written twice, once slighty left and down of the other. I still, however, configured the settings. I then double clicked on PSClient and my dock twitched outwards as though making room for a new app, but then collapsed in again a split second later. There was no printout to the console.
My specs are:
Machine Model: Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics)
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.9)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 400 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB
Memory: 512 MB
Bus Speed: 100 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.2.8f1
System Version: Mac OS X 10.3.9 (7W98)
Kernel Version: Darwin 7.9.0
Thank you for the assistance
