I tried that, didn't work I'm afraid. Someone else has suggested that he will only accept individual tria, rather than a hexa or whatever.

I'm having an irritating problem with a certain quest, I won't say which one but suffice to say that a certain librarian keeps saying that he will sell me some ink and paper in exchange for some tria and then, when said tria is offered the trade is declined. I can't complete several quests at the moment due to bugs like this. In another case I simply need to inform someone that some mail has been delivered. I believe I've tried every possible combination of words under the sun to convey the message but still with no luck. Other quests I can start but halfway through find that I have no-where near the necessary skills to complete and so must put them aside for what will probably take months to achieve. All this is very frustrating and I think it would be worth the developers considering putting in some form of basic requirement checking and spending a bit more time debugging and testing quests before making them available to the rest of the user community.

Other than that, great game. I love it.

Linux Specific Issues / Re: No Sound Intrepid 8.10 64 bit

have you tried

Code: [Select]
$ sudo modprobe snd-pcm-oss && sudo cat 'snd-pcm-oss' >> /etc/modules

And then restarting the client? Also don't bother with esound or any form of sound daemon unless you have a really compelling reason to (like a crap sound card that doesn't support hardware mixing from multiple sources) sound daemons/servers are usually more trouble than they're worth for oridinary day-to-day desktop use.

Note: the first part loads the oss compatibility module that creates a /dev/dsp device in udev and the second makes sure that module is always loaded on boot.

Hope this helps
