I use Mac also. The way I got my updater to work was to download the patch at www.planeshift.it/download.html. Never had a problem since. The way to know if it worked is to check the updater.log in the PlaneShift folder. If it worked correctly there should a log of what happened. If you cannot find the log you can also open Console immediately after the update and it will show the log. If you are running Windows, I would recommend downloading the patch if you haven't already.

I try to open the updater, but it just cloeses right away. DOes that mean I've already been updated? And, my shortcuts appear very tiny, and I can't see them

Yes, the master of riddles is back! This coming Sunday I, Petern (in game) shall go to the tavern and take on all challengers.

RULES:

-Before we start, you specify an amount of tria from 1-1000. If you lose, you give me half the amount. (rounded up) If you win, you get the amount. If we tie, nothing happens.

-Win=answer the riddle with the "correct" answer
Lose=answer incorrectly or surrender
Tie=answer with something that makes sense (be prepared to argue your case, I make the final judgement but I will be fair) but is not "correct"

-NO USING THE INTERNET TO FIND THE ANSWER!

-This entire process is based off of the honor system, I won't make up answers, you don't search for them.

Hello! I am Petern, the greatest riddler in all the land!

On Sunday, 15 of March 2009 I shall be having the first ever riddle fair!

I shall be in the tavern often, giving riddles to all who wish to test their wit.
The rules
Pick any amount of tria from 50 to 1000.
Answer the riddle correctly, you get that amount of tria.
Answer incorrect, and I get half the amount of tria.
Answer incorrectly but logicly (within reason, I'll be the judge) and no one wins.
No using a search engine to find the answer.

If you choose to accept my challenge, meet Petern, the wittiest Klyros in all the land in the tavern on March 15!
