Newbie Help (Start Here) / Re: How can I check my server?
« on: April 15, 2009, 10:34:19 pm »
The default server is the RP server, laanx.fragnetics.com.  The non-RP server is planeshift.ezpcusa.com.

When you open the client you will see both in the list.  That is how you know which you are connecting to.

However, as a game still in development, the community is not that large, and there are times and places when RP is very prevalent, and times and places where that is not always the case.

If you are looking for more RP, my suggestion would be to find players and try to start up some RP, or perhaps join a guild.

I do believe if you examine/read the cooking book, it has recipes in it telling you some of the foods you can make.

This is just my assumption/impression, but it is hard to believe in and worship Talad without acknowledging the existence of Laanx.  I don't think it behooves anyone to be disrespectful to any god.  So I assume a small level of deference and respect is given to most of the gods, if not all, but like Xillix said, for the most part I think most people can only truly worship one.  The tenets of the various gods will surely conflict at some point, and you have to make a stand where your loyalties lie primarily.

Fish are nice, but if you want to turn your bad luck around, beer cures what ales you.

Why am I getting the message "<>" is impervious to attack" when I try to attack a monster?

If you are getting this message that means that the program controlling the NPC's behaviour (npcclient) has either crashed or it has been shut down by a developer in order to improve/fix something. Nobody knows when the program will be restarted, so don't ask too often.

If you know of any good modelers, they can volunteer to join the team and try to flesh out models.

This is just a small observation from me, but many of the small quest items don't have 2D or 3D artwork, so they use the artwork of sacks, and such.

I have used the 30 minutes to RP before, but that depends in other players are near by that you can strike up a RP with.

And while workarounds may exist, that doesn't change the fact that it still may drive players away permanently, especially new players who don't have high strengths.  How is that a good thing?

Except when carrying capacity means you can't play the game for 30 minutes.  Literally pulling people of game and telling them to stop playing is not what I would consider a good game feature.  That is the sort of feature that might permanently drive players away.

The ultimate purpose behind playing a game is to have fun.

She wouldn't accept a meat chunk for me either.  I assume skill is the issue.

...I respectfully disagree.  This speech has absolutely nothing to do with politics.  He is speaking about an event that touched him deeply...

What doesn't have to do with politics when we talk about social relations on a world scale? But that's another issue. What I said above was that the music professor is a liberal American in his understanding of history and the world. His point of view flows from that.

I do think the liberal American view of the world is limited and sees history with blinders on, as badly as conservatives do.
How does it make one liberal to say that music is important?  For the record, I do not classify myself as a liberal or a conservative.
