I would run Disk Utility /Repair Disk permissions. then update the game as we are 0.5.7.1

For all you lucky ones to already have Lion, you might wonder how to get your logs.
First though a reminder. They are hidden for a good reason, so do not tinker with what you do not need to.
Accessing the Library Folder in Lion -- While Apple clearly believes that most users shouldn’t be messing around in the ~/Library folder, the company is aware that many of us do need quick access to it. So the new way of viewing ~/Library is to hold the Option key and choose Go > Library in the Finder. You can even press Option after you drop the Go menu. Of course, you could also choose Go > Go to Folder (Command-Shift-G) and enter ~/Library in the dialog that appears, but that’s unnecessary effort.
Once you can see the ~/Library folder, you can drag its icon (or its proxy icon from a Finder window’s title bar) to either the toolbar or sidebar of a Finder window. Once there, accessing it is merely a matter of clicking the icon.
If you’d just like your ~/Library to be visible normally in the Finder, that’s easy too; just enter this command in Terminal:
chflags nohidden ~/Library

" I've played a fair number of other MMORPGs, and the tutorials were painless and often not mandatory - PlaneShift's tutorial is neither. "
Yet the first thing that greets anyone joining the tutorial is
[NPC] Abelia Aruine says: Welcome to the PlaneShift tutorial! I'm here to guide you through how to use some basic commands like movement, the camera and others. To start talking with me come closer and right click me, and then select the mouth or talk option. In the pop up box one of the options will ask me to start the tutorial. If you prefer to not learn anything from this tutorial, you can talk to Xenak near the gate.
So kind of wondering if you missed that, then it explains why you did not get far at all, if you even bothered to go further.
In case I am completely wrong [your character if the same name as you used in here, shows that in 1h 38m 16s, you did not even get a quest, yet you did manage to get a shortsword and 3 rat eyes.] and you did manage to try even a little bit, how about, like I just did, give examples of what you thought was wrong and how it could be improved. « on: July 07, 2011, 07:16:08 am »Somtimes you gotta do what you gotta do, just becuase you do a quest your character wouldnt, doesnt mean it has to effect him IC'ly, most quests are ooc anyway, since they are a thing only one person can actually do, yet everyone can do it.
Not quite right. Factions do affect you, and most quests give them, and obtaining too many of the wrong ones for your character will affect other quests you might need for your character.
Also in the future it could restrict where you may enter.

Newsflash, that is completely confusing. You have to log in once a week or once a year or the account is deleted, which is it? Where is this information detailed on the site?
You have quoted this out of context. I was referring to how some other games do it, we do it the way Talad explains.
4. Would you rather this game did the same as many other games;
A. You must log in at least once a week or account is deleted.
B. You must play within a year or account is deleted.
We would rather keep the accounts so returning people can pick up where they left off, or if they so desire make new characters, this game is as has been said many times, a game in the making, yes it is taking time, Devs move on as RL dictates their availability, so new have to be found, who in their free time can help with making the game.
So it is a low priority to remove unused accounts, but nothing stopping you asking for your own to be removed, and when time permits it will be.
