Wish list / Helping fellows

Supposing the existance of quicksand, monsters than grasp the people, jamming traps, and the like, the help of your fellows can be decisive for your survival.

This resort shouldn\'t be abused, but can be interesting for enhance the cooperative playing in some quests.

Wish list / Built-in guilds
« on: December 10, 2004, 11:27:30 am »
I\'m not saying to add a predefined set of guilds, but allow the players to seek the active guilds, their goals, their history and their current plots without go to the guild\'s page.
This could be done allowing to the guild leaders to upload the info to the game server. The newest guilds can be \"WTB guilds\", and been differenciated from the others, the old ones or approved by the GM.

If the guild leader could send messages (whith goals, news or whatever) to the members, would be great to store them in the server for allow the offline members display the message when they connect again to the game.

I think that\'s a good solution, but, what\'re thinking the devs?
Would be very difficult to implement?

Efflixi, I understand your concern, but in your approach you\'re missing one thing. You\'re supposing all the people in the world are English-speaker, and that\'s far from be true. In my country there\'re few people speaking English, so that\'s a problem.

Localizing the game we\'re not talking about split the community, but adding more gamers than otherwise hadn\'t join to the game.

And about \"maps that where litterd with BR people only\", well, it\'s like in the real life. If you go to Brazil you\'ll met a lot of brazilian people ;)

Maybe that could be problematic by now (the community is little), but what about when PS has \"zillions\" of members? Then, that shouldn\'t be so bad after all.

There\'re plans to add more strings to the localization file? Must I wait to the next version to begin the translation?

I know there is a patch for the char creator but all the interface...

That sounds good, because I could learn from the french translators\' experience.

But, BTW, the job done for mb or cb could be reused for the next releases?

Hi all,

I was wondering if in this new release will be available the multilanguage support. I mean, only for the interface and the predefined messages.

Hi guys,

I\'m from Spain, and I\'d like to see the PS in Spanish some day...
I think than with a pack of sentences ready to use (a GREAT pack, of course ;)) is enough for enable the comunication between English-speakers and non-English-speakers.

But, what happens with the interface? And with the NPCs dialogs?  Well, I don\'t tried the game yet but I think it has, doesn\'t it?

In other role-playing games (like BG series, PS Torment...) the dialogs and interface are all in one file. Also in Planeshift?
