it still wont let me make a character, it freezes when i select a race

it wont let me make a character, it just recently let me get that far but it wont let me do anything past selecting a race

i am a mac user i just downloaded the game and everything went fine. now im trying to sighn in and what happens when i hit "ok" is the log in area turns blue and it freezes please someone help me i need to play a game im going crazy
