OK, So I am replying to my own post just so everyone knows that I have figured it out... Have to hit the "lips" on the right click menu of a NPC and then go from there... just in case anyone else was wondering because its really not explained anywhere else.

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Quests
« on: December 17, 2009, 01:07:31 am »
So I am running the .5 version of PS and trying to get some quests. But when I type "Give me a quest" or "Can I help you?" I get nothing but "Theres nothing to do" or something along those lines.. Is there a different protocol now for questing? and if so what is it?

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / .5 Xp issues
« on: December 12, 2009, 08:34:32 am »
Ok so I tried running on ubuntu 9.10 and that epically failed so now I have tried windows xp..

After fighting with my audio and my display I have updated drivers..

I can not find the "update" icon or even file for planeshift, I dont know if im supposed to down load it seperatly or what and also I cant even get planeshift running.

I click on the icon and a black screen flashes and then nothing.  I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I have been trying to get planeshift running for over 12 hours now with no luck

Complaint Department / Quests

So I have just downloaded and installed the newest client .5, while it looks pretty and seems to work well on my mac, I noticed that ALL of my quests are GONE... this makes me a little irritated considering I had about 7 or 8 going on at once... Are these quests gone forever? Do I have to start them all over again? If so, the developers might want to think of that for the next release... might make more than a few people angry...

Ok so I am new to the linux thing.  I have ubuntu 9.10 and I just downloaded planeshift.  I got it to finally download after scanning these boards but now I ran into a new problem.
I have seen in a few posts how people got their updater to work, I have tried these commands in the terminal and it still will not work.

If anyone can help me get this updater to work i would appreciate it sooooo much..

O by the way, I have a 32 bit downloaded verision if that matters.
