ok well after playing the game i have this short list of things that you can do. i dont know if yuo are working on them right now or not so please dont yell at me if they are. also i dont mean to gurt anyones feelings at all with this post.
1)Lag- The reason why i think that lag should be fixed is because you can have all the things that everquest and other MMORPGs offer and more, but if you have alot of lag like im experiencing when i play i dont think many people will want to play and you will seriously lose alot of players. i know that this is a hard thing to accomplish becasue it involves having money and obviuously you dont have as much as everquest or what ever, but you should still see if you can upgrade a server.
2)Layered Clothing-I htink that the whole layered clothing thing is very important. i think that if you add it to your game it will make it much more interesting and everone will have a chance to be as unique as possible. if you want to see an example of this buy The Elder Scrolls 3:Morrowind. That game has everything that i could want from an MMORPG exept the fact that it isnt an online game so its just me and a whole bunch of NPCs. Another reason why layered clothing is important is because you said, i think, that you guys want to make this game as real as possible. so make it so you can wear underwear and things like that. A cool way to put this in, is to say that each char has normal armor of 1, this armor is supplied by wearing socks underwear and clothes. if you do not wear this you will have an armor of 1. after you put all this on you can still wear a full plate mail over it or whatever you like.
3)Another very important thing is the controls. i dont like the way they work. i know you can hit the \" \\ \" key and activate Counter strike-like controls, but thats not all you need. to make the controls much better i say that you remove the mouse thing for interacting with objects and instead add in a little crosshair. i know what you thinking...\"CROSSHAIR!?!?!?!\"...and...thats too \"futuristic\", but actaully again morrowind did this and pulled it off really well. ok so with the crosshair insted of haveing to right click someone you will just hover over an object beit a person npc weapon armor plant or whatever and if you are able to interact with it, maybe a little box will appear somewhere on the screen and it willl say what the item is or the persons name is. again this is alot like morrowind and i dont know if you want to copy htis or not, but i STRONGLY RECCOMEND that you guys but morrowind and look thru it it is a seriously good example of what you should try to get in your game.
4)Custimization Expanation- I think that MMORPGs are meant to be a way to get away from life and be able to be someone else, to be creative, to enjoy another life and its world and to just have plain and simple fun. But to do most of those you cant be ina world where every tenth person you walk by looks just like you. i know this will definately change once all 12 races are in, but i still thikn the game lacks some major custimizing options that should be there especially for MMORGs things that should be make custumizable are: ears, nose, how big you are(fat and tall), eyes, hair, maybe head shape, and i bet you guys can also come up with more ideas of things to customize. i also think that the whole thing about how some races have rare breeds like a rare fur coat or what ever should all be luck or something.
5)Item Creation-I also think that there should be a way to make it so that you can collect items to put together a new item beit a sword bow potion of health or whatever. the thing about this is that if you want to make it so that the person gets a rare item when they put togheter the collection of items make it so that they have to collect rare items to get a fairly better and rarer item. the way i have seen this be done is that if you collect the itmes then you must seek out a person beit a sage or a man who lives deep in hte forest or whatever, but once you find the man or woman u have to ask them to make the rare item for you. you could make it so that you have to pay them or that you have to give them something.
