if you have problem try:

# sudo su
[your pass]
# cd /usr/share/games
# chmod 777 -v -R planeshift

and update...

HI !!
In dir of planeshift, the file psupdater.cfg
contain:

"Update.Platform = false"

try change this to:

"Update.Platform = true"

and update.

I use Ubuntu 9.04 and my version of planeshift is 0.4.03 before update xD.
