Well you are suppose to move the planeshift folder into your applications folder and run the program from there. That is probably causing your permission problem in not being able to update.
It's like magic, it worked.  Thank you so much! ^__^

Ah, okay, I'll try that then, but I'm going to just clean up everything and start from scratch, since I've got everything so disorganized at the moment. >.<
And thanks.

Wish list / Some Ideas for Current Mounts
« on: March 25, 2010, 07:31:54 pm »
>Animation change for Rivnak
-When the Rivnak is running at full speed, the rider is leaning forward instead of sitting straight up.
Reason: Makes the animation more realistic.  If any rider were to ride a horse like that at full speed, logically they would either be unbalanced or fall off completely.

>Mount items/mount strength
-Have a type of saddle for the Rivnak
Reason: In the game, the coat of a Rivnak is not soft, similar to the coat of a horse.  Such a coat would wear out the seat of the rider riding bareback.
-Saddlebag storage that can carry more weight than what can be carried by the rider, but less than what can be carried by a gouja or megaras.
Reason: A mount animal is stronger than the rider and could be used for some extra carrying capacity for such tasks as mining and storing hunt loot.

>Attack/damage
-When running at full speed, have some sort of mounted charge attack and collision damage.
Reason: Another addition to the realism of the game, just like how falling from a great height does damage, running over something living should hurt it.

Did you copy the PlaneShift folder into our Applications folder first?
Ummm... No...  What does that do?

Or click on the PLaneshift app folder then get info on the folder and make sure the permissions are set to read and write. If the permissions aren't set to read and write then change them to read and write and apply the changes to everything in the folder.

I tried all the above, and it won't allow me to change the permissions of the folder to "read and write."
I've only had this computer for about a year and a half...  Even with the help tab, I'm not making much progress... :(

Mac OSX Specific Issues / I'm the Admin, but it won't let me update
« on: March 21, 2010, 03:20:16 pm »
Every time I go into the launch, it keeps telling me that I'm not the Admin of this computer and that I should get the proper permissions so that I can get the update. ???
I am the Admin and only user of the computer, so I have no idea how to proceed. ???
