Thanks it worked  ;)

I've just installed new 0.5.7 client and ran the updater once the new version message pops up. While the update was in progress a segment violation made the client crash. Then when I ran the client up again it doesn't said anything about a new version so I tried to run the game but some miss file and another sort of errors made me stop to go further.
What should I do now? Run the Repair option or what? Also I would like to know if it's possible to download the .5.7.1 update from a web link instead of using the PS client. I ask because of the speed. (From Chile).

Thanks in advance!

PS: openSUSE 11.4 + KDE 4.6

It was like "mmm just another open source rp game" but clearly it's not and his differences makes it a powerful rp concept even more in the open source communities.

Planeshift is not an open source game, it's only announced as such.
http://www.planeshift.it/license.html

Well let's refer it to the source code as it is under GPL.  ;)

General Discussion / Spanish PS Site
« on: July 12, 2010, 11:09:08 pm »
Greetings.
Not sure where to put the topic so sorry about that :innocent:

I knew PS about 3 years ago but never get in to the game-play until today where I have been playing for about a week. Seriously I can say that PlaneShift is more than I expected the time I knew about it. It was like "mmm just another open source rp game" but clearly it's not and his differences makes it a powerful rp concept even more in the open source communities.
Now as a Latin American player (from Chile) I would like to cooperate in the promotional area starting with a Spanish website. I think there may exist a lot for potential Spanish speaker users who need a warmer "welcome handshake". What I'm trying to say is that if you find a Spanish lang dedicated site, your desire to get in and know more about will be increased for sure!

I already found Spanish speaker players who have gave me much help inside the game. There's people ready to help me out on this so what I only need is the PS Staff for a guide, support and coop. Of course at first I would like to hear some comments and "Get on it!" or "No way" words.

Regards,
HernĂ¡n.

Linux Specific Issues / Re: Functioning Distros

Opensuse 11.2 x86_64
Most versions are running fine , except some minor issues (a missing symlink for 11.2 +5.4 for example ).

Hey Lirrec, does the packman repo (openSUSE 11.2) has the latest planeshift packages version? What I see is a 0.4.00-1175.pm.1175.5 main package version so note sure if I should install it from repo or downloading the latest bin file from planeshift source.

Thanks in advance.
