Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / No hardware acceleration! []

Does anyone have any tips for getting hardware acceleration to work? I know my system supports it.
If I\'m not mistaken, OpenGL IS hardware acceleration, right?
I\'m assuming that when I get the \'no hardware acceleration\' message, that the client is defaulting to Safe Mode, correct?
processor brand: Intel
processor speed: 1.8Ghz
amount of main memory: 1GB
graphiccard brand: Asus
graphiccard chip: GeForce 3 Ti
amount of memory on graphiccard: 64MB
operating system: XP Pro SP1, DirectX 9
