I haven\'t heard that. If anyone has sure info I would welcome knowing.

As far as I know, Ad-Aware came well recomended and this is the first I\'ve heard anything like that.

Ads, if you are running on a Windows OS, then try the link i gave above to Lavasoft\'s website. Their Ad-Aware program seems to be pretty good and its free for personal use.

After reading this, I went to update my sniffer and checked for spyware. I found...get ready...143 instances, including cookies, registry entries, and programs.

One free program that seems to work well (what I used) is Lavasoft\'s Ad-Aware. You can find it here.

I don\'t know if its any help, but I\'ll write my own experience with this.

I first downloaded from the \'Primary download site\' and the Chapel Hill, NC location. I started all the downloads at once. When I tried to install and run it, I got the incomplete/corrupted message.

I then downloaded from the \'Primary download site\' and the Reston, VA location. I was carefull to download the parts one at a time and did nothing but surf the web while waiting (no serious cpu or bandwidth use). These installed nicely and without problem.

Just a little data, hope it helps.

Your idea worked! I created a new character and tried logging in both without and with opengl on; it worked both ways. I also went ld in the mines (unintentionaly) and was able to get back in.

So my new character is named Bartonii. I guess this one has some Itallian blood.

I was able to login my first 3 times and haven\'t been able to since.

I get as far as initializing the world and then my client just seems to hang. If I wait long enough Windows tells me its not responding and asks if I want to send a debug message.

If there is anything I can do about this, please let me know.

edit----I just tried it again. The actual error message is \"psclient has encountered a problem and needs to close.\" The option to send a debug message is there also. I\'ve sent both this one and the previous one. Do those come to you or do they go to microsoft?

edit2---I just tried it without the opengl option and the only difference was the error came up much quicker, within a few minutes.
