A fenki wearing battered plate armor walks up to the message board. She rips several messages off the center of the board, dropping them to the muddy ground. After a large area is cleared, she nails a piece of parchment up. She turns to go, and seems to melt away into the shadows.

I agree with the portal thing, but I think it should be randomized, otherwise people will memorize the route, and use the DR as a shortcut. Unfortunately, I don't think the devs will implement an improved DR anytime soon...  :(
