Personally, I believe running should be given \'inertia\'.. that is, you press the assigned key, and the player slowly ramps up to \"running speed\" at which it retains a steady velocity, until the runkey is pressed again at which point the player slowly decelarates. During the ramping up and deceleration times the player cannot stop.. this would be more realistic since players would think twice about running extremly short distances and thus walk instead. (Example: how MAX\'s run in planetside. I\'ve always liked this idea
