Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Mine too is unplayable

For some reason, the game is more than unplayable on m computer.

It is an Athlon XP 1.6Ghz
256 or 512 DDR 2700 - forgot
GeForce Ti4600 128mb
Winxp

My other computer that is slightly slower plays it alright -- I can move and chat there, but my computer is slow as can be.
No other progs running of course

I tried -console, but no console was shown in-game and my fps read .03 most of the time, but it was far worse than that in actuality.

I finally was able to log in after opening up port 13331 udp and setting compatibility to 98, and then I was lagged so badly when I was finally dropped in that the game was more than unplayable.

Athlon XP 1.6Ghz
256 DDR 2700
40gig 7200rpm hd
GeForce Ti4600 128mb
WinXP

Any ideas?  I\'d like to be able to log in...

When I finally got connected (took 3 days) I found that the game lagged so badly that in 1/2 an hour, I still hadn\'t moved at all.  Any ideas as to why?  I\'d really like to try the game, even though it is alpha.  Anyone had/have this prob and know how to fix it?

GeForce Ti4600 128mb
256mb ddr 2700
on windows xpsp1
