Assuming your in windows xp? goto control panel -> network connections -> right click on your internet connection and goto properties. Somewhere in the properties is a flag to toggle the firewall on or off

If you get lag with those specs then we\'re all doomed :D. I am only a step down and also get loadsa lag. Can\'t we be given an option to use OpenGL\'s fog or something like most games do. This could surely do alot of graphics culling

Edit: it improved alot under linux

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / linux vs windows
« on: July 03, 2003, 06:32:18 pm »
hi,

I have both windows and linux (Gentoo 1.4) installed on my system. Ive installed planeshift on windows and was unhappy with the performance.

I was wondering if I should bother installing planeshift on linux? Does anyone else know if it or the crystalspace engine run better under linux?

Specs are:

Athlon XP 2500+ (1833Mhz @ 333Mhz fsb)

Only tried in under windows xp might try it under my gentoo linux if anyone thinks it\'ll make a diff?
