OK, looks like the game talks on UDP port 13331.  If this outgoing port is blocked (will probably be in most company settings that have a firewall) then your out of luck - unless you know the administator ;)

I stand corrected on the firewall.  I just went back behind it and connected no problem.  It may be only an issue with uploading a charecter.  Will investigate further.  Stay tooned... Nope I can upload a charecter fine.  As long as your firewall is not specificly blocking outgoing ports and only doing NAT then you should be OK.  Many companys will specificly block outgoing ports to limit what the people can do (ie only allow web and mail access).

Looks like there is a problem if you are behind a firewall that does NAT.  I reconfigured mine at work to tunnel everything to me and it worked fine.  If the Development team could comment on the ports the game requires to open on the server end, I would be more than happy to put together some documentation on configuring a firewall for use with the game.  I will see if I can figure the ports out from the firewall log as well.  A few thoughts:

Works great on a Athlon 1800 XP, 512 mb ram, with a 64 MB Gforce 2 400 MX and sitting on a T1. :D

I am so used to tab-ing between fields so this would be a nice feature.

Minimize is a must for those who like to test at work ;) .

Everything seems a bit dark (hard to make out facial features of others).  Are there going to be torches in the real thing?

GREAT work development team!

Last time I checked a dedicated server on a decent size pipe (OC3) ran about $500 per month.  Most of them also limit bandwidth/month and charge extra if you go over.  Runescape is running 10 servers to handle the load.  I think you may find that the server cost will be a problem.  That is why having a company with these resources in place as a sponsor my work out.

OK I think I have the solution.  ?PlaneShift brought to you by Dell? [Fill in any large Tech Company].  The idea would be to have Dell (or other) provide the server(s) on their existing connection to the net and they get the sponsorship rights.  What Tech company would not jump at the chance to get the goodwill of 100,000 geeks with very little cost to themselves?  I am an IT manager and when purchasing items that are technically the same I go with the company I know and like.  So when I go to purchase my next 20 PC?s I chose Dell over HP (or others) because Dell was nice enough to provide me with free entertainment.  Thoughts?
