Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / HELP RUNNING PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe

Ok i followed everything the site said.  I downloaded the 5 parts and the reassembler, put them in the same directory, and double clicked run_me_first.bat.  Now is when i start having trouble.  I try to launch PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe and a black window opens and immediately closes.  What do i do???
