Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Windows says that its not responding...help?

I created the .exe file and install everything, and the game started up, but then it stops on the title screen(at least I think that\'s the title screen, I haven\'t gotten further than that yet). I\'m using Windows 98, if that helps you help me in any way.
